BASIC FTS 200 LEVEL

Basic Farm Tire Service (FTS) is a 200-Level course outlining the safety guidelines for servicing farm, agricultural and construction tire and wheel assemblies. Basic FTS is available through the TIA Online University or can be delivered in-person utilizing video, workbooks and paper exams.

The Basic FTS consists of the following 11 Modules:

  1. Introduction
  2. Tires
  3. Rims, Wheels and Valves
  4. Service Truck Operation and Maintenance
  5. Liftin the Machine
  6. Hydraulic Tool Operation and Maintenance
  7. Single Piece Demount, Mount & Inflate on Machine
  8. Single Piece Demount, Mount & Inflate off Machine
  9. Dual Demount, Mount & Inflate
  10. 3-Piece Demount, Mount & Inflate on Machine
  11. Install and Remove Liquid Ballast

TIA offers a hands-on class available in Garner, Iowa. Our Adv. FTS Hands-On Course combines the Basic FTS classroom portion with two full days of hands-on training, including a variety of tools and equipment used to service farm tires.

TIA can hold custom, hands-on Farm Tire Service classes for your company. We do have our own training facility in Garner, Iowa where we can hold a private class for your techs. Or, we can come to you as long as the necessary tools and equipment are available.
