The Tire Industry Association (TIA), established in 1921, is international non-profit association representing all segments of the tire industry, including companies that manufacture, repair, recycle, sell, service or use new or retreaded tires, and also those suppliers or individuals who furnish equipment, material or services to the industry. TIA is the leading advocate as well as instructor in technical training of tire service technicians.
The mission of TIA is to promote tire safety through training and education, to act as the principal advocate in government affairs and to enhance the image and professionalism of the industry so that our member businesses may be more successful. TIA has members from all 50 states and around the globe.
Tire safety starts with trained technicians. From hands-on training and certification for experienced technicians, to basic online training for new hires, TIA offers programs that can be used by large and small companies alike.
Joining TIA makes you part of a community that offers professional development, tire technician training, networking and government advocacy. In short, TIA is about helping its members succeed.
TIA serves as a daily watchdog for federal and state legislation affecting tire dealers and the tire industry.
Whether its help finding a certified tire dealer, OSHA mount/demount and rim matching charts, best management practices, government directories or something else, TIA is the go-to resource for the entire tire industry.
TIA’s consumer safety videos are designed to educate motorists on the proper maintenance guidelines for passenger and light truck tires and tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).
